Shredding the Evidence

In a most bizarre and remarkable development, ZAKA, “the Hebrew acronym for Disaster Victim Identification, a civilian volunteer organization with sole responsibility in Israel for dealing with incidents of unnatural death”, has decided, according to an article in Jpost, to bury the cars of those killed on October 7, 2023. Not only did they decide to bury them, but to shred them before burial, in order to “save space and be as friendly to the environment as possible.”
These are the same cars, which, among other reasons, caused reporter Max Blumenthal to question the veracity of the Israeli government’s narrative on what happened on October 7?

These are the same cars, which, among other reasons, caused reporter Max Blumenthal to question the veracity of the Israeli government’s narrative on what happened on October 7?
From the transcript of his lengthy interview, we read:
“You have Kibbutz Be’eri where there was tank shelling, and then you have these Apache helicopter pilots in the air who were stating in their testimonies in Hebrew to Israeli media that they had no intelligence, no way of distinguishing civilian from combatant on the ground.
And yet they were told to empty their tanks, completely unload their ammo, then head back to the base, get filled up again, reload, and then go shoot as many cars and people as they could on the ground. Pure chaos. These testimonies have been totally ignored, by the way, by Western media. Were they encouraged to kill captives or shoot cars that they thought contained captives?”
It has been quite convenient, from day one, for western media and western politicians, including President Biden, to swallow and regurgitate, the Israeli narrative that “Hamas’ terrorists massacred 1400 innocent civilians in a most barbaric fashion.” The number has now been revised to 1200. Even though the loss of one innocent life is abhorrent, the loss of truth, could lead to tragic consequences. Getting to the truth involves knowing exactly what happened on October 7, 2023. The damaged cars are a key part of the evidence for understanding what happened on that day. Thorough independent forensic examination the cause of the damage and death could be discerned. With it, we should be able to understand how many people were killed by Hamas and how many were killed by Israel. Shredding those cars, will remove one key evidence and this should not be allowed to happen. At least, not before an independent forensic examination is conducted.
Regardless of how noble the cause stated by ZAKA might be for shredding and burying the cars, doing so, before and independent forensic examination, will, forever, cast a huge question mark on the whole Israeli narrative.
The pictures included with this article are taken from Jpost itself. They alone, should be cause for safeguarding this evidence.
